Identity and Clique

Our life wouldn't have been so complicated, if some of us would have taken time to be real. It takes a lot of energy trying to be who we're not. It involves a lot of time trying to fit into an identity that is not ours, which in itself is such a fruitless effort.
There is no shortcut to success, except this one principle of being oneself. No wonder, when we take on an identity of ours, we flawlessly do those things which we wanted to do, because it's been part of us. When we engage in an activity that is inner driven, we are more resolute in whatever we do.
However, the big question is this, most of us wonder if people around us will like us for who we are. Obviously, the answer is probably going to be NO. Life isn't a show, that we're looking for fans or supporters. The bitter truth is, we are likely to face some hostility being who we are. When we found out we're the only non-conformist in a conformist environment, we turn out to be viewed as the deviant. Now, the problem isn't that we're only viewed as a deviant, but that we've come to accept that reality and chooses not to pursue the part of innovation and creativity.
People will forever be comfortable, being your friend and being around you, for as long as you live a fake life, take on a fake identity and are people pleasers. They get angry each time you think outside of the box. They get so frustrated because of your ideas, cause they know that would make you better off than them, and they can't possibly imagine that happening. They are average thinkers, always settling down for less. They keep a daily check on you to ascertain if you're still in shape within the mental configuration they've set for you. These set of folks are to be done with and nothing more.
Surround yourself with folks who's been where you wanted to be. Those who not only tell you how success works, but whose life depict the very success they talk about. Do not be contented with the status quo.
